For sale is a beautiful Glazed Art Nouveau/ Arts and Crafts Pottery Vase. This is a really nice hand made glazed pottery vase by Grueby Faience Company, Boston, MA, USA ca 1900. The vase is made in squat five leaf shape and is covered complex curdled dark matte green glaze which thins over the high relief of the leaf edges. Stamped to the bottom with the Grueby mark which is partly obscured by the glaze but still Grueby Pottery, Boston readable. In excellent condition considering the age - no chips or cracks! Note that there are few spots of the leaf edges where the glaze is so thin that it has either withdraw during manufacturing or was rubbed off shtortly leaving rough spot. This should not be considered a flaw since it is typical and natural for this type of pottery and glaze. Zoom in the photographs for details!
