Beautiful sculpture of American buffalo in luster ceramic called eosin, made by the famous Hungarian manufacture of Zsolnay in the early decades of the 1900s. Eosin is a particular luster finish made only by the manufacture of Zsolnay on ceramics with a green or red background, by means of the use of powdered metals dissolved in a mercury solution, which were then fixed with flames on the sculpture which liquefied the metals precisely by fixing them on the ceramic surface and giving it that particular predominantly golden shine but which also reflects the various colors of the rainbow depending of how light affects sculpture. Hungarian sculptures with this particular process are in great demand and reach very high prices. We are satisfied with much less, so.... MEASURES: HIGH: 5,7 inch; WIDHT 9 inch; DEPTH 2,5 inch.
CONDITIONS: Perfect in every way. Double box with a lot of bubble wrap around the object and a lot of soft material in the large cavities on all sides between the two boxes.
