A Rare Wm Moorcroft Pomegranate Pattern Biscuit Box
For sale today we have this seldom seen example of a twin handled William Moorcroft Biscuit Box in the Pomegranate Pattern. A very nicely executed example, the box features a band of large ripe Pomegranate fruits to the main body along with an abundance of berries and verdant green leaves all set against a blue into greeny ochre ground. The lid is also decorated with further berries and leaves. Stands 7" tall x 7 1/2" across the handles. Stamped Moorcroft, Made in England along with William's blue "flash" signature to bothe the base and lid. Condition wise, the box displays beautifully while one handle has been restored and there is a small amount of glaze loss to 1 corner of the lid- otherwise perfect.
